Having discovered a dog-friendly beachfront motel in Yachats (The Fireside), we decided to give it a try. It was everything we'd hoped for - an ocean view with beautiful crashing waves and easy access to the 804 shoreline trail, and a clean cozy room with gas fireplace and small fridge. And dog-friendly! So dog friendly that they supply a special package with dog towels & a mat, and a couple of sheets to cover the couch & bed if you-know-who wants to hang out there. Charlie and we give it two paws up! :)
