Feather-Toes?

Trimmers: 4       Laissez faire: 9

We're having a discussion about whether or not to trim Charlie's feather-toes.

What do you think?

When I had Goldens I never trimmed the feather toes, but "those-es toes-es" are pretty feathery...Do they tickle?

Charlie!

Wow, I didn't know dogs had feather toes. I only have curly furred toes. I think your toes look pretty cool though. Some people pay a lot of money to have shoes that might look something like your feather feet.

Hope you have a grrrrEAT weekend,

Sparky

Tucker has feather toes, but not that spectacular. We don't bother to trim.

Hi Charlie!
Wow! Youse got long furs coming out of your toesies! My ma cuts the hair between my pads under my toes to help keep the fox tails out, whatever they are!!! But I love that look and you have long feather hair! If you don't run through foxtail country, then why cut such pretty feathery fur hehee?

We are torn about your toes. Edgar had feathers all over the rug this morning. Your feathers are much better looking than the mess he left. The crazy old bat says that Hobbits have hairy toes and they do just fine with them. I guess we say keep the feather toes just stay away from Edgar.

My mum sometimes trims my toe feathers so the foxtails don't stick so much. Before she started trimming them, I didn't have much toe feathers, now they're nearly as good as yours!

Wow! Those are VERY IMPRESSIVE toe feathers! My Mom keeps my toe hair trimmed because we hike a lot, and excess toe hair collects dirt and foxtails and other bad things. But those are some pretty cool looking toes you've got there!

Scout here...my momma trims my feather toes cuz she thinks I look much more tidier with a "tight foot" as she likes to call it. I don't like to have feather toes in the winter cuz the snow sticks to them and then I have to spend hours and hours picking snowballs off my feet when I come inside.

Those are impressive feet Charlie! I don't like my feet being touched. My humans have to tag team me when I'm really tired to try and trim them, and I usually look like a kid who cut his own hair. Not good.

We just trimmed Sam's. They get so long and full of burrs and when he steps in water they turn his paws into giant sponges... We make such a fuss over his freshly trimmed toes that he presents them to everyone he meets so that they can ooh and aaahh over them!

Yes, we do trim our Golden Girls feather toes and paw pads. It's almost impossible to trim their nails with all that hair.

Charlie, I was totally unaware dogs had such things. They are very impressive though and they made momma laugh. I say do what ever you like...you are handsome either way!

Ailsa an I donts have that problem Buts our little big Tanya at rainbow she hads problem when it rained, theys was like big sponges when she came inside, round blobs of wet, an if muds dried between the toes underneath she woulds limps so mums used to trim thems a bit in summer and a lots in winter.

Heehee.. Charlie, you have the cutest feather toes I have seen!! Might be good to just trim it a little so that when it rains, you won't soak the carpets!

Charlie,

Keep the feet. Next they'll want to trim the feathers behind your ears!
