Yesterday, the postman delivered a wonderful surprise - -


a package all the way from Oz! (Australia, that is)


Charlie found it very interesting and insisted on helping open it.


Inside was a wonderful letter from Big Charlie, and A DINO CUZ!!


At first Charlie didn't know what to do with Dino. He made such scarie noises!!



So Gabbie came over and showed him exactly what to do!

They played for hours with Dino and each other... fetch-the-Dino, Dino keep-away, Dino tug-of-war and steal-the-Dino to name a few of their games.

And now Charlie loves Dino!!


THANKS Big Charlie (and your mom and dad and Opy, too)! You're the best!!

Bottoms up

Avery, our golden buddy, tagged us to show Charlie's tummy. Now this is not a position you'd usually find Charlie in -- he has to be deeply asleep before that happens. And deep sleeping is not something Charlie does with humans awake; too much else going on, and he wants to participate!

Two Peas in a Pod

Pouncer is an outdoor cat, but she's learned that if she comes around to the front balcony and my office door, I'll let her in for a little visit.

And, although she and Charlie get along well (which is to say he likes to chase but not catch her, and she likes to hang around with and rub up against him), they each take a healthy care around the other. So I never dreamed either of them would be comfortable enough around the other for THIS...
It's not MJ and Zippy, but it's closer than I ever thought these two would get!

The downside of big windows

If it's at nose level...

and made of glass...

then it doesn't matter how often...

or how hard...

you clean it,

it's SMUDGED!

And, considering the smudger's pleasure, we wouldn't have it any other way! :)
