Charlie was born in Indiana and I grew up in Indianapolis, so to have the Indianapolis Colts playing in the SuperBowl today was really special! And to play against neighboring Chicago (the Bears)... excellent!! It's been decades since either team did so well, so we're happy for both of them, but we do have a soft spot for the Colts.

First we got our snacks together, because what's SuperBowl without some chips?

At opening kickoff, when the rival Chicago Bears immediately scored a touchdown, it looked like we were in really big trouble!

First quarter: "Oh, woe is us! The Colts look terrible. Freda and Wally (who are Bears fans) are probably pretty happy about now, though...

Then the game turned in the Colt's favor. "Mom? Can this be happenin? Suddenly we're not lookin' so bad..."

Yippeee!! An interception and a touchdown!!!

"Ok, Mom, our little horses won; they beat those big bad bears! Now let us play some ball!"

Even tho I love to play football, I don't follow all the games, because SHE likes to watch people skate around with sticks on slippery white stuff chasing a little black thingy. I still want to send my congrats to the horsies for playing the game I love!!!

Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade

The moms really enjoyed the game, but all the yelling was a little disruptive to me. We were for the Colts, too!

Dearest charlie
I din't care who won since my favorite team the jets didn't make it. Most pople wanted the colts to win the superbowl in my household.

P.S. I wish the super bowl was a big bowl of food instead.

hey charlie--looks like you enjoyed the games (and those sweet potato chips are the greatest!!!!!) i agree with sherman. the super bowl should mostly be about big bowls of food. the colts fans could celebrate and we bears fans could drown our sorrow in snacks.

Pretty spectacular game. I was convinced the passing game would tank in the rain. I was at IU when the Colts rolled out of Baltimore at midnight to move to Indie (and in Tucson when the Cards moved to Phoenix). After so many years it's nice to see them have some success.

Hey Charlie,

Congrats on the horsey's win. Guess da Bears don't like da fallin' water. I actually slept throught it, cuz Mom and Dad left me Home Alone, AGAIN!!! They went to see the big floatin' box, the QM2. Dad took my spy camera and made a reeeellys grainy movin' picture of it. He's tryin' to put it on my blog now. That should be a reeeals arf.

Hey, Charlie. Glad you were happy with Colts winning. I'm not into football all that much. Probably a girl thing. But if you're happy, I'm happy!!

Hi C-Bux,

Im glad your team did OK. We didn't watch the game this year, if Dad's team isnt playing, he doesnt want to know about it :-)

I hope you gave the game a "Roll of Approval" :-)
