C'mon, Charlie!

Charlie always has his own ideas about where it's safe to walk...
  • past the apartments where he heard a loud motorcycle weeks ago? - NO!
  • next to the school? - NO!
  • too far away? - NO!
I used to let him get away with this, but my cousin who's a (human) psychologist convinced me it's better to help him get past his fears, so now we power through. Go, Charlie!

You can do it big guy! moose has conquered a fear or two and still has lots to go! His latest is the "ferocious" 9mo puppy 'snow white' who lives next door. We have a ways to go on that one! Anywho, moose feels your pain!
As dan rather likes to say, "courage"

Mom wishes I had just a little bit of fear. My lack of it has been a problem from time to time. So hope we can compromise and make these 2 leggers happy. (Yeah, right!)

Woofs and courageous slobbers,
Chester

Sorry your humans take you to such scary places. Maybe you should take em and push em out of a plane...that'd teach em! ~Twix

What is the sense of going on a walk if you can't go where YOU want to go.

I agree with your cousin. Giving in to a dog fears is reinforcing them and rewarding him for behavior you don't want.

Wednesday was garden tour in our neighborhood. Neither of the girls wanted to go past the mylar balloons at two neighbors.
