Charlie says "Listen to Meeshka"!
Quick!! Grab your human and take them over to your food closet right away. Make them check your canned or pouched food to make sure it's not involved in this terrible recall!! And have them check your kitty siblings' food too, while they're at it.
Lots of pet food in the US, Canada, and Mexico is affected, because it's a big contract manufacturer called Menu Foods that seems to be having the problem. If you go to this website, you can get a list of all the 40 or 50 brands affected and how to tell if you're ok. And if that main link is too slow, here are some more direct links:
Dog foods affected
Cat foods affected
And just because you haven't bought food in awhile doesn't mean you're safe - - the recall spans Dec - March!
So don't accept "No" or "Later, Charlie..."; make them do it now!

Hello there Charlie gorgeous...Your fur is soooo bootiful! I have two Goldens myself & a Dalmatian too. i'm glad to have found you here in blogger coz all my dog's furfriends right now are non-goldies. How are you anyway? Nice meeting you Charlie handsome...(My Amber told me to say this too you. Oh and she winked too, lol)

Woh Charlie, Is your human's arm tasty?
~ fufu
Woosh! Sophie eats Solid Gold Wolfking, so she's in the clear. Thanks for the list. But Charlie, I think eating your human's arm might be dangerous too.
oh boy!!! I eat Iams!!!!
Charlie:
Oh mys...have you got her where you want her......
We just dropped by to say "HEY"
You're so rights, Charlie! We're not safe until our humans read the label. I munch Flint River Ranch Dog Food and loves it.
Thanks for the 'nose' up.
Wuufs!

Charlie -
Thanks for the links. I eat Nutro Natrual Choice - but it is dry kibble and apparently safe. Needless to say my mom is "NOT AMUSED" by the news!!
We hope all is well in your corner of the world!!

What's even scarier is that the thing in the food that is causing pets to be sick turned out to be RAT POISON!
Yikes!
Maybe this will get people to start asking questions about dog nutrition, though, and to get them to educate themselves more about the quality of what they're feeding - whether it's part of the recall or not.
There are so many dogs on Iams and Eukanuba because their "vets recommend it" who'd probably be much better off on a holistic food with actual ingredients you can understand (like chicken instead of chicken by-product or chicken meal).
