and cut into 1/3" slices:
Microwave the slices until they're soft (sounds crazy, but it took 10 min. for these):
Bake (raised on a rack) at 200-250' F (95-120' C?) for hours (4 in this case) until they're dry but still flexible (note: they didn't ooze at all):
Cool. (Note that at this point, the 2 end pieces are missing, having been commandeered by the quality control team of Charlie & Gabbie, who pronounced them 'fit for consumption'.)
Feed & repeat:
I don't know if they're as good as Sam's Yams, but they're a whole lot cheaper & Charlie likes them just fine!!

Yum! My mom tried to make those once but she didn't know about the microwave part. I think she will need to try it again!
Your friend, Lenny
Mom forgot to mention that after she microwaved them and before she put them in the oven, she poked them full of holes with a fork so they'd dry better.
Oh yeah we are with you on this one! PL2 bought a dehydrator just for this because when she made them in the oven they weren't so hot BUT she didn't know about the microwave part and is going to run and try it!! Love A+A

This looks easy enough for me to attempt! I've never bought a sweet potato before...this weekend may be the first.
