Portland is one of those great dog-friendly places where dogs are allowed at some restaurants' outdoor patios.
We happen to live near one such brewpub, and today was "not-too-cold, not-too-hot, just right" in temperature, so off we went.
Charlie was interested in everything (except his water bowl) and very well behaved. He growled a little bit when he saw a pug at a nearby table, but who wouldn't?
"That's a real good pickle! Mmmmm...."
After lunch, we walked home together.
At this rate, he'll be ready for The Lucky Lab, whose patio is filled with other dogs, real soon!

Looks like he is having a very good time.
We are lucky as well in that we have many places here that are dog friendly. We really like going into old town Alexandria for dinner and beer at Pat Troy's Ireland's Own. They are super friendly and have water bowls and treats, too.
Abby is reactive toward other dogs as well. She's fine with most of them but some she will growl or bark at (especially if they're being dominant toward her). So we've enrolled in a good new class to work on that. It's a class specifically for dogs that get hyped about others, or bark and growl when meeting other dogs. I think it'll really help.
I forgot to put in my website link. I feel stupid. *lol*
Good job Charlie for being so well behaved ! We would love to come to "The Lucky Lab" with you - that would be SO much fun ! Bit of a long trip though ! We don't have anything cool like that over here :-(
Love
